My name is Brenda and I started A Clean and Healthy Life because my health has become a bigger priority for me as I age. I have a seven-year-old grandson; I’ve got to keep up!
Seriously, I want to do everything that I can to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible. Don’t we all?
What You Should Know
First, I’m not a doctor, medical professional, or nutritionist. (I always think about Joey from Friends when he was playing Dr. Drake Ramoray when I say that ;). I wish I could post a picture, but I probably don’t have permission.)
Back to business: I’m just a normal person, with a love of research and sharing, who’s interested in good health. Specifically, clean eating, clean living, and vitamins and supplements.
I am not one of those hard-core people who has to follow the rules at all costs.
I consider myself a realist. I will try my best to eat and live as cleanly as possible, expect that I will get better at it as time goes on, and not sweat the small stuff.
In other words, Christmas and Thanksgiving are not likely to be “clean” holidays. I will do my best, but cheesecake and pumpkin pie will be served.
And I think you should give yourself the same kind of grace.
Do the best you can, as often as you can.
Some Tips for You
Learning to eat clean is hard. I found that out the first time I went grocery shopping after deciding to adopt this lifestyle. It’s a lot more confusing in real life than it is online!
